President Hu Jintao to Attend the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit and the Fourth BRICS Leaders Meeting and to Pay a State Visit to Cambodia

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei announces:

At the invitation of ROK President Lee Myung-bak, Indian Prime Minister Singh and King Sihamoni of Cambodia, President Hu Jintao will attend the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul, the ROK from March 26 to 27 and the fourth BRICS Leaders Meeting in New Delhi, India from March 28 to 29. He will be in Cambodia from March 30 to April 2 for a state visit.

With the theme of enhancing the security of nuclear materials and facilities, the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit will focus on national measures and international cooperation on nuclear security. During his attendance at the Summit, President Hu Jintao will fully expound on China's policies, efforts and measures in the field of nuclear security.

During his attendance at the fourth BRICS Leaders Meeting, President Hu Jintao and leaders from Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa will exchange views on issues of economy, finance and development, major international issues of common interest as well as cooperation among BRICS countries.

During his visit to Cambodia, President Hu Jintao will have an extensive and in-depth exchange of views with Cambodian leaders on deepening China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation and promoting China-ASEAN relations and East Asia cooperation.
