Chinese Embassy in India holds Talks between Visiting CPC Experts and Indian Scholars

On July 13, 2011, the Chinese Embassy in India held talks between a visiting delegation led by Mr. Chen Jin, the Vice Director of the Party Literature Research Center of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the Indian experts and scholars.

                                               

Ambassador Zhang Yan presided over the talks and expressed warm welcome for both sides to Chinese Embassy in India. Mr. Gao Yongzhong, Director of the Institute of Party Building under the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Prof. Sreemati Chakrabarti, Honorary Director of Institute of Chinese Studies, Mr. C. Raja Mohan, Senior Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research and Strategic Affairs Editor of the Indian Express, Dr. P. D. Kaushik, Associate Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, representatives from BJP and NCP and other senior researchers attended the meeting.

                                               

Both sides had candid exchanges of views and interactions. The CPC experts answered the questions on the 90th anniversary of foundation of the CPC, new challenges CPC faces in the new era both in and out China, grassroots democracy building in China, the relations between the CPC and the army, the  relations between party members and the public, the role of civil society, etc.
