Indian Youth Delegation Arrives in Beijing

BEIJING, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- An Indian youth delegation led by Ajay Maken, India's minister of sports and youth affairs, arrived here on Tuesday.

The delegation, which consists of 500 government officials, heads of youth organizations, social workers, entrepreneurs, college students and rural youth representatives, is visiting China at the invitation of the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF).

The delegation is scheduled to participate in cultural exchange activities with young Chinese people and pay visits to companies, communities, universities and rural areas.

The decision to invite the Indian youth delegation is aimed at implementing the spirit of the China-India Joint Communique and promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the young people of both countries, according to the ACYF.
