World EXPO Shanghai China Promotion Event Successfully Held in New Delhi

July 17 to 18, 2010, the Chinese Embassy in India and the China National Tourist office in New Delhi jointly held a promotion event of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China in New Delhi Select Citywalk Mall. The aim of the event is to usher the EXPO into Indian community and tell the Indian public about the Expo and China.

   

With delicate booth design, vivid description of Expo, thoughtful information service, smart design of the questionnaire, regular lucky draws and the lovely EXPO mascot "HAIBAO", the event attracted thousands of Indian public from different circles, among them, there are government officials, media friends, freelancers, self-employed people, engineers, doctors, lawyers, teachers as well as students, etc.

During the promotion event, the public showed great interest in the exhibition and they were eager to know everything about EXPO and China.

   

Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in India, officials from China National Tourist Office in New Delhi and the Chinese students and interns in India answered the questions raised by the Indian public seriously and earnestly and provided lots of information about the EXPO and China to the Indian public.

CCTV, People's Daily, China Radio International and Wenhui newspaper made reports of the event.

Select Citywalk Mall is the most favorite shopping place for Indian middle class and youth people, which attracts tens of thousands visitors. According to statistics from the shopping mall, the total customer flow amounts to 50,000 per day on weekend.
