Xi Jinping Leaves Beijing Attending the 14th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO and Paying State Visits to Tajikistan, Maldives, Sri Lanka and India

In the morning of September 11, 2014, President Xi Jinping, at the invitations of President Emomali Rakhmon of the Republic of Tajikistan, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom of the Republic of Maldives, President Mahinda Rajapaksa of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and President Pranab Mukherjee of the Republic of India, left Beijing by special plane for Dushanbe, Tajikistan to attend the 14th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization ( SCO ) and pay state visits to the above four countries.

President Xi Jinping's wife Mme. Peng Liyuan, Wang Huning, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee, Li Zhanshu, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, State Councilor Yang Jiechi and others accompanied President Xi Jinping for the visit.
