Primary schools located in mountainous regions of the county suffered a great shortage of qualified teachers, which prevented local children from attending regular schooling. Since 2002, a total of 144 teachers in urban areas have been dispatched in rotation to the remote schools by local government to give a hand in the poor primary education. Over 800 pupils of eight villages in the mountainous regions have benefited from the efforts and had access to school education as good as their peers in cities.(Xinhua Photo)
