The Chinese Embassy has learnt that Prof. S.K.Yap Rahman Founded "Interpretation Translation Education & Consultancy". She is an experienced and qualified Mandarin interpreter, translator and teacher with Indian nationality. But her birthplace is Singapore.

Attended school and university in Singapore and France. Obtained License es Lettres with major in Chinese and Literature (equivalent to Indian M.A.) and Diplome Superieur de Chinois-Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Interpretation and Translation (French and Chinese), both from I.N.L.C.O. Universite de la Sorbonne, Paris, France.

29 years of experience in teaching customised Chinese language programmes to business executives and professionals and in-house training to major organizations. Taught students Chinese language and culture both in India and overseas, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, at the British International School in Cairo and at other institutions in Singapore. Pioneered Chinese language classes at the Mosque in Singapore. Worked extensively as interpreter and translator for Indian Government departments and other international and national organizations/institutions/companies. Translated documents and Chinese TV/media programmes.
