Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan Visits Tagore International School

On July 27, 2011, at the invitation of Tagore International School, Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan visited the school and watched the dancing performance by students prepared for the Meet in Beijing –International Children's Get-together. Ambassador Zhang had friendly talks with Principal Madhulika Sen and students of the school.

Tagore International School established a sister-school relationship with Shanghai Jinyuan Senior High School in 2008. In December 2010, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited the school and presented his brush writing to them "China-India Friendship" in four Chinese characters.

On behalf of the Tagore International School, those students in the dancing performance are going to attend the Meet in Beijing-International Children's Get-together jointly held by the Chinese Central Television (CCTV) and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Beijing Municipal People's Government from August 13 to 21, 2011. During their stay in Beijing, they will participate in a collective of colorful activities with Chinese teenagers and delegations from other countries such as the US, Japan, South Korean, Australia, Russia, etc. They will visit places of historical interest in Beijing and perform at the CCTV.
