Indian Students Participate in the Third International Children's Art Festival of Xinjiang, China

From July 20 to 26, 2012, the Third International Children's Art Festival of Xinjiang, China was held in Urumqi. With the assistance of the Chinese Embassy in India, an Indian delegation consisting 9 students and a dance teacher from Bal Bharti Public School (Dwarka Branch), New Delhi, participated in this event. The delegation was led by Mr. Dhirendra Bhatnagar, Secretary General of the Confederation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations of India.

The Indian delegation presented traditional dances during the festival, which were greatly appreciated by the audience. Their participation also boosted friendship and understanding between the peoples of China and India.

This annual festival started from the year of 2010. For this newly organized round, there were art performances, exhibitions and visiting activities arranged for more than 360 participants, among which 9 groups are from India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and South Korea, and 8 groups from domestic schools of China.
