On April 10, 2013, Chinese Ambassador to India Wei Wei paid a visit to Indian Culture Minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch. They exchanged views on cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Wei Wei spoke highly of China-India cultural relations and appreciated the contributions made by Minister Katoch for cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. He said the Chinese side is willing to further strengthen cultural exchanges with India and enhance the friendship between the two peoples. He also invited Minister Katoch to visit China at a convenient time.

Minister Katoch fully affirmed the significance of China-India cultural exchanges, agreed with the Chinese side on strengthening cultural exchanges and would work together with the Chinese side to consolidate and deepen bilateral cultural cooperation. She also expressed her wish to visit China at a convenient time.
