On July 30th, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in India held a reception in New Delhi to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). Ambassador Xu Feihong and Defense Attaché, Rear Admiral Ji Mingzhou addressed the reception. Over 400 guests were invited, including diplomats and military attachés of the diplomatic missions, as well as representatives from all walks of life in India.

Ambassador Xu pointed out in his speech that the Chinese military has always been a steel Great Wall to defend national sovereignty, security and development interests, and has always been a firm force in maintaining world peace. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. During the war, China and India forged a bond of mutual support with their lives and sweat, which remains an important source of China-India friendship. This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. China is willing to work with India to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and continuously promote the improvement and development of China-India relations.

In his speech, Defense Attaché Ji noted that over the past 98 years, the PLA has made tremendous historic contributions to national independence, people's liberation, national prosperity and world peace. Eighty years ago, the Chinese people fought shoulder to shoulder with the world's anti-fascist allies and ultimately achieved victory. As the world enters a new period of turbulence and change, the Chinese military will faithfully implement the Global Security Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, actively fulfill the international responsibilities of a major power's military, and serve as a staunch force in maintaining world peace and stability.

The reception played several featured videos, including "The Guardians", and displayed a series of photos highlighting the achievements of Chinese military. The guests expressed congratulations on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the PLA and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
