On the evening of 29 September, Ambassador and Mrs. Sun Yuxi held grand reception in New Delhi to celebrate the 56th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Lt. Governor of Delhi Mr.Joshi, on behalf of the Indian Government, was present at the reception and extended congratulations to Ambassador and Mrs. Sun Yuxi. 500-odd people attended the reception including senior officials of the Indian government, friendly personages from all walks of life of  India, diplomatic envoys and friends in India, representatives of Chinese companies, news agencies, Chinese students in India, Chinese Indians and overseas Chinese. The cultural and performance troupe under the political department of the Tibetan Military Area Command performed Tibetan songs and dances at the reception.
