Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yan Visits the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Delhi

On August 4, 2011, on the occasion marking the third anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Delhi, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yan, accompanied by Minster Counsellor Fan Fei and Consular Counsellor Mei Yuncai, paid a visit to the Center.

              

Mr. Anil Kotach, Head of South Asia of VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd., an outsourcing company running the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Delhi, briefed Ambassador Zhang about the internal management, external services and specific operation processes of the Delhi Center. He said the VFS Global would continue to provide efficient and convenient services for Chinese visa applicants and make their own efforts for the normal personnel exchanges between China and India.

             

Ambassador Zhang gave good remarks of the safe and efficient operation of the Center. He said this is due to the joint efforts of both the Chinese and Indian sides. The good services of the Delhi Center not only achieved economic benefits but also made contribution to the promotion of the bilateral relations as well as friendly exchanges between the two peoples.

Ambassador Zhang emphasized that with the further development of the China-India relations, substantive cooperation in political, economic, diplomatic, culture and other fields between the two countries would go deeper, the personnel exchanges become more and more frequent and the mutual understanding and mutual trust would be strengthened. He hoped that the VFS Global would continue their efforts in promoting exchanges and friendship between China and India people. Ambassador Zhang wrote down “Cooperation for Friendship” in Chinese characters in the Visitors’ Book.

            

The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Delhi was established in August 2008. Since then, it has received 470,000 visa applications.
