Communist Party Secretary of Gansu Province Lu Hao Leads a CPC Delegation to Visit India

From November 2 to 5, 2011, at the invitation of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Mr. Lu Hao, Communist Party Secretary of Gansu Province of China, led a delegation to visit India.

The delegation met with Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Minister of Rural Development, Ms. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Madhusudan Ganapathi, Secretary (West) of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and Mr. Gopa Sabharwal, Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University in Delhi. Both sides exchanged views on how to further develop party-to-party exchanges and China-India relations, as well as to strengthen cooperation in other fields. Mr. Lu Hao also went to visit the staff of Gansu Construction Engineering Group. Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan was present at the above events.

During the trip to Bihar Pradesh, Mr. Lu Hao held talks with Mr. Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister of Bihar on overall economic and cultural exchanges between Gansu and Bihar, and inspected the agricultural development and rural construction.
