India China Golf Cup 2011 Successfully Concluded in New Delhi

The India China Golf Cup 2011, held by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and the Chamber of Chinese Enterprises in India, was successfully concluded on November 27, 2011 at Qutab Golf Course, New Delhi. Entrepreneurs from China and India and diplomats from the foreign missions in India participated the tournament.

              

On November 25, 2011, H.E. Zhang Yan, Chinese Ambassador to India was invited as the chief guest to unveiling the India China Golf Cup 2011 and hit a ceremonial first shot. Mr. Ranjan Mathai, Foreign Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Mr. D.S. Rawat, Secretary General of ASSOCHAM, Mr. Wang Xuefeng, Minister of Chinese Embassy and Mr. Peng Gang, Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy also attended the Inaugural Function.

Ambassador Zhang expressed his heartfelt thanks to ASSOCHAM, Indian Ministry of Tourism, China National Tourism Office in Delhi and other cosponsors for their initiative and valuable support in organizing the meaningful event. He hoped that all the participants would make full use of the game to strengthen their friendship and further promote the cooperation between Chinese and Indian business communities, thus to continuously add new impetus to the fast growing China-India economic and trade relations, contribute to the development of the China-India relations.

Mr. Mathai said that the golf game could serve as a bridge to promote understanding and communication between Indian and Chinese enterprises as well as the economic, trade and financial cooperation between the two nations.

              

The tournament concluded with 15 prizes of which four went to the Chinese competitors. Minister Wang awarded the prizes to the all winners.
