Chinese Foreign Minister Meets With Indonesian Foreign Minister

PHNOM PENH, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa on the sidelines of ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meetings here on Wednesday.

Yang said that China-Indonesia strategic partnership has continued to develop and assumed greater regional and global significance. China highly values Indonesia's status and role. China is ready to work with Indonesia, earnestly implement important agreement reached between leaders of the two countries, and move China-Indonesia strategic partnership forward in a fast and sound manner.

Marty Natalegawa said that the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries has rich contents and great significance. Indonesia will make active efforts to ensure the cooperation projects agreed by leaders of the two countries will turn into reality at an early date. Given the current economic situation, Indonesia hopes to work with China to enhance collaboration within G20 and make greater contribution for world economic recovery and regional economic development.

The two sides also had in-depth exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.
