Various circles of society of China are deeply concerned about the damages caused by the tsunamis to the South and Southeast Asian countries and express great sympathy for the relevant countries. They are keen to donate to the Red Cross Society of China and ask it to convey the donation to the disaster-hit countries as soon as possible. By 6 pm of December 31, 2004, the Red Cross Society of China had received about 800,000 RMB monetary donations from various circles of society of China. The person in charge of the Red Cross Society of China promised to convey the donation to the disaster-hit countries as soon as possible.
