China's Special Representative on China-India Boundary Question mourns demise of Indian counterpart

Mr. Dai Bingguo, China's Special Representative on China-India Boundary Question and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China sent a message of condolence to Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh on January 3 to deeply mourn the death of H.E. Mr. J. N. Dixit, India's Special Representative on China-India Boundary Question and Indian National Security Advisor.

In his message, Dai said that Mr. Dixit had made important contributions to the development of relationship between China and India. During his tenure as Special Representative on China-India Boundary Question, China and India made positive progress in framing the political guiding principles for the solution of the boundary question. Dai expressed it that he believed the unfinished career of Mr. Dixit would be carried forward and the Meeting of Special Representatives on Boundary Question between India and China would continuously make fresh headway.
