Mr. Tang Jiaxuan, State Councilor of China sent a message of condolence to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on January 4 to deeply mourn the death of H.E. Mr. J. N. Dixit, India's Special Representative on China-India Boundary Question and Indian National Security Advisor.

In his message, Mr. Tang said that Mr. Dixit had made important contributions to the development of relationship between China and India. Mr. Tang expressed it that he believed the Special Representative mechanism between China and India would maintain good momentum with the attention of Indian Prime Minister in reaching agreement at an early date on the political guiding principles for the solution of the boundary question so as to lay the solid foundation for an eventual solution of the boundary question in a fair, reasonable and win-win way.
