On July 21, 2011, Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan met with Mr. Sharad Yadav, Chairman of Janata Dal (United) and Convenor of the National Democratic Alliance. The two sides held extensive discussions on advancing friendly exchanges between political parties, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the governments and peoples of China and India.
